Fight For A Girl seeks to empower women globally to rise up into the calling of freedom on their lives. And we want that for you. You are worth fighting for. Here you will find a variety of resources, including verses and promises for you to speak over yourself, recommended books and articles about a variety of personal topics, as well as counselors, profiles, and other tools we recommend to help you understand how God designed you to thrive and change the world around you. We also invite you to look at different ways there are to Fight For A Girl locally and globally, to see which things will hit your heart in that unique way that makes you say "This is what I was made for."
Verses & Promises
We believe there is power in our words, and that is why we recommend reading the following verses and speaking the truth of Scripture out loud. We have provided examples of statements you can say below each verse.
"I praise you [God] because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." - Psalm 149:15
Statement: God, thank you that you have made me on purpose for a purpose. Today I choose to walk in confidence know that you have made me wonderfully.
"I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." - Psalm 27:13
Statement: God, I thank you that Your promises are good, and that they are for today. I know that I can walk forward trusting that the good things you have for my life aren't just for "some day in Heaven" but are for today and tomorrow and for this life. God, help me to see the good things You are doing as I go through my day today.
"But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head." - Psalm 3:3
Statement: Thank you, God, that no matter what things are going on around me, I can trust that You are my shield and You protect me, and that even if I fall during this time or no matter how discouraged I might feel, I trust that You are the One who lifts my head and reminds me of my identity in You.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
Statement: God, I recognize that you are in control of my life, and that your plans for me are great. I choose to look beyond my current situation and look with great anticipation for the future you are forming for me.
"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things." - Philippians 4:8
Statement: God, today I choose to think about the good things in my life and to set my eyes and brain on the goodness that you have put in place surrounding me. [Then list out some things in your life that fit into these categories.}
